Imperia Long Sleeve Velvet Dress [BLOOD] [PLUS]

I went by the size guidelines as best as I could but it turned out much too big for me. I am built like a teapot though (short and stout) with a big bust so it is very hard to find a good fit without trying items on first. I bought a 3X but probably should have got a XL or a 2X. I normally wear an XL in tops and a 14 or 16 in dress sizes depending on the cut and material of the garment. The arms are very long for me but that is something I'm used to and can tolerate but the neckline was way too open and low on my chest to work. Basically it wanted to go below my bustline. I just couldn't make it work. I will give it to my daughter who is much taller than me with an otherwise similar shape right now and hope that it works much better for her rather than returning it. It is a beautiful dress made out of heavier velvet than I expected which to me means it is probably a higher quality than many items I see online and it does appear to be made well.
