Furiosa Zip Dress

Okay, so first, the XL was way too big. And, from recent experience, I returned it and re-ordered two sizes down, M, which did fit me perfectly. Killstar has been running a bit large, lately, especially with their cotton/denim stuff. Seems like, anyway. So, I now had the size that fit, but there was something else I couldn't at first put a finger on. Then it hit me. The two shoulder straps, something about them didn't sit right. I have fairly broad shoulders, and the double straps made my shoulders somehow wider. I looked way more top heavy than usual. It's like there is too much material between the straps up on the shoulders. I really wanted to keep the dress so I came up with a solution. I decided to sew the straps together at the top. When studying what I was going to sew together, I also discovered that the two straps on one shoulder were farther apart than they were on the other shoulder. Just a small discrepancy that may not bother anybody else, but I tend to obsess about. Anyway, my little solution worked, and now I really love the dress. I gave it four stars since I had to alter it. First pic shows the space between the straps that also bunched up into the wrinkle shown. Nothing I did alleviated that awkwardness either. I tried several times to stretch the material by adjusting the garment, but it wouldn't smooth out. The second pic shows my stitched work which fixed this issue.
